Flexing New Muscles by Rev. Jeff Cloeter We are the church in the third decade of the 21st century. We face unique challenges that require us to flex “new muscles.” Or old muscles that must be flexed to new degrees. We explore a variety of necessary “muscles,” and practical examples of how to use them in everyday parish ministry. The good news is that the Head of the Body has given us all we ne...

Dr. Rachel Ferguson is the Director of the Free Enterprise Center at Concordia University Chicago, As...

But how can we do so with hope and confidence? Clear reasons are as close as the Small Catechism. We will look at how faith in God the Father Almighty gives us reasons to live with and for our neighbors with hope and confidence. R...

Have you ever felt isolated in your walk with Jesus? Have you felt like the Church is in decline and your congregation is shrinking and struggling? Maybe you’ve experienced the weight of Elijah’s words: “The Israelites have rejected your covenant, torn down your altars, and put your prophets to death with the sword. I am the only one left, and now they are trying to kill me too” (1 Kings 19:10b...

With regards to your comments at 26:55, I guess it's fun to crack jokes to get giggles from large groups of people, but the Bible actually says this: "For Adam was formed first, then Eve; and Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and became a transgressor." 1 Timothy 2:13-14 You should try reading the Bible more and going to fewer gay bars.
Hey Vic, I found you on-line and watch you in the morning for a word. You are doing great things and so proud of you my brother. Love you Man.

Excellent points about Relational Ministry - Spot On!
Our Father,...Thy Kingdom come. Amen.
Excellent presentation, thank you. You have given us much to think about. God (the Trinity) is good beyond all expectations. We deserve nothing and HE loves us so very much that we are assured of eternity with HIM.
The Amish population is growing, with an estimated 373,620 in 2022, which is an increase of 110% since 2000. We LCMS our good American Christians while we should be good Christians focused on Jesus. I may not agree with Amish way of doing things but we shouldn’t throw away old teachings just because there old. Is birth control God pleasing or self pleasing?
Thank you for these reports President Davis.
Thank you President Davis!
Thank you for the update.
Thank you for posting this!
Can you livestream the April 27th service? That would outreach to a lot of people who don't live in the Michigan Ohio area
Thank you for your very thoughtful message President Davis, but as you may know the Board of Regents and Dr. Ankerberg have already begun making cuts in the interim as my daughter's program was cut just last week. 20+ students in the AT program were told at 11:15 pm on a Wednesday night, 3 weeks before the semester, that they have 3 options; 1. Change majors; 2. Transfer to CUW; 3. Leave CUAA. This all after the announcement was made just 5 weeks ago that the campus would remain open for the 2024-25 school year while a year of planning begun. Quite a sad state of affairs to be honest. It's hard to support such a strong university that has poor leadership (CUW and the Board) and unprofessionalism of how to handle difficult situations. Dr. Ankerberg and the Board fumbled the delivery of this news in February to the whole school and once again in April to the AT program faculty and its students in the darkness of night. Hard to trust anyone at CUAA moving forward as they cannot even promise my daughter that if she switches majors that it won't get cut next year.
Amen.
The power of our God brings broken people together. Oh that we can show love, wisdom, and boldness together to the Glory of Jesus. Thank you President Davis! ! You lift our eyes up unto the Lord!
Great reminder dear brother to all work together in unity and the spirit of Christ! The enemy only seeks to divide and destroy but he cannot prevail against God's people, God's kingdom when we operate by God's power source - His Love! Christian education is too important in these days to fail because we fell into "enemyfication". Blessings to you. Pete Mueller AA class of 80
Thanks for your work and message. I appreciate the update. Pastor Andy Ritchie, Lakeland FL.
Marvelous message President Davis. "Jesus send forth your Spirit that the end chosen by Your human representatives in these matters is the end and path chosen by YOU! In Christ's holy name. Amen."

President Davis is a great thinker, writer and leads by collaboration. Thanks you sir for your work God bless CUAA and the Michigan District!
Thanks for sharing this wonderful teaching!
Easter Greetings and Thanks for the encouragement. I appreciate hearing any and all news about plans for CUAA. If there have been other updates I haven't seen or heard them. So this is very much welcomed.
I followed Flame from the enthusiasts circle. He and Rev Fisk made it easy for me. God Bless them both!
Wow! thank tou
Thank you!
Is Concordia closing?
Amen. Thank you for your words, President Davis.
We praise God for your efforts. I have faith that God will take this situation under his care.
For a time such as this, President Dave Davis!!
Thank you so much! I appreciate you taking the time to encourage and speak on CUAAs behalf! I am encouraged by your words and support!
President Davis, thank you for your Christ-exalting leadership, and for shepherding us through this time. May you, your staff, and your families receive the discernment, guidance, and energy you all need as we walk through this together.
Well said, President Davis. We join you in praying! Pastor Christoph Schulze, Brooklyn
Thank you for moving forward on this. We have been giving significant money each year to help students there get a great degree. We are willing to increase support if it goes toward the continued existence of CUAA. However, in view of what has happened so far, I, personally, would require for a 6 figure pledge, some guarantee that if e.g., any part of CUAA was sold or spun off in the next so many years (TBD), we would have our money returned to a 501(c)(3) of our choosing, A lack of trust has been created by the current actions of those in charge, causing, in my mind, irreparable damage now and over the coming years to the student body and those considering entering CUAA next year. To give them money to save CUAA that could be then used, e.g., to support CUW, 6 months or 10 years from now and close CUAA would not be acceptable to us. The credibility, integrity, and the way this has been handled to date by those in charge is completely unacceptable from both a Christian and business standpoint. May God be with you and your work President Davis.
How did we get here, and when did the internal alarms start going off? Gods blessings on a solution, but please explain how it got to this point without notice.
It does not seem right to close (rather suddenly) a university which has produced so many fine leaders for the Church, and which is located in one of our nation's top academic hubs. Thank you, President Davis, for your call for honest conversation, unity, and support for our Concordia University system. Let's work to keep CUAA a thriving center for Lutheran leadership. Pastor Christoph Schulze, Brooklyn NY
Thank you so much for this HOPEFUL message, President Davis! I’m praying that Satan’s attack on these critical Christian institutions will be thwarted!! Christ will be triumphant as his people will answer this call to arms! Never has the need for Christ’s presence in our community and lives been more critical. 🙏❤🙏
Best of luck to everyone at CUAA and CUW. Stay strong, you are in my prayers!
In the world of change management, the process is just as important as the outcome - if not more so. The way this situation has been handled is a textbook example of what not to do. My heart goes out to the students, faculty and staff as they go through the remainder of the academic year. Thank you for your efforts to push pause and try to bring unity while options can be prayerfully considered.
Thank you very much. My son is there for pre-sem. I sent this to my pastor and asked if he could talk to The English District to see if they could help too.
I really appreciate your updates. Thanks for taking this action and I do pray a plan could be implemented for ministry to continue at Concordia Ann Arbor.
Thank you for the update, God’s blessings to you and the whole of the Michigan district. My son attends CUAA and loves his family there. He is a Lutheran North Grad and also went to St. John Fraser. Thank you. 🙏🏻
Thank you, President Davis for your support and calming influence in this matter. God is guiding all this.
Wise words my friend! Thank you!!
Thank you for this patient and calm approach. This leadership is much appreciated.
Thank you for your tireless work, Dave. Prayers are unceasing
